Last updated: September 11, 2026
Your privacy is fundamental to how Sanctum is built. This Privacy Policy explains how Sanctum collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, Google, or Email, we store your user ID, display name, and email address to manage your sync and cloud backups.
- Productivity Data: Focus session duration, completed tasks, focus tags, and streak statistics are stored to provide cross-device synchronization and insights.
- Device Calendar: If you explicitly grant calendar permissions, Sanctum writes scheduled focus events to your local calendar. We never transmit your existing personal calendar entries to our servers.
2. Data Storage and Security
We use Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore with enterprise-grade encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We do not sell your personal information or focus habits to advertisers or data brokers.
3. Third-Party Services
- Apple Services: Sign in with Apple and Apple Calendar (EventKit).
- Firebase: Authentication, Firestore database, and Cloud Messaging for focus notifications.
4. Account Deletion and Data Retention
